How to Connect Zola’s RSVP to Your Squarespace Wedding Website

Whether you’re using one of The Foyer’s refined templates or your own custom site, we believe a seamless guest experience begins with thoughtful details—including your RSVP process. If you’re managing your guest list through Zola, this guide will walk you through how to easily link your Zola RSVP form to your Squarespace site, keeping everything effortlessly cohesive.

Step 1: Set Up Your RSVP on Zola

Before linking out to Zola, make sure your RSVP settings are fully configured on the platform. Here’s how to get everything in place:

  1. Log in to your Zola account.

  2. Navigate to “Guest List & RSVPS” and “Invite guests to events”

  3. Confirm that your RSVP form is enabled and tailored to your needs. Customize the questions or details you’d like to collect—such as meal preferences, plus ones, or song requests. If you haven’t configured this yet, simply click “Edit RSVP Page” to open Zola’s wedding website editor and make your adjustments.

Once you’re in the website editor you should automatically be redirected to the RSVP section of your site.

Scroll down & on the bottom left-hand side you should see “Your events”

From there:

  1. You’ll see any existing events (like Ceremony or Wedding) listed. Make sure they are toggled on.

  2. To add another event (e.g., Welcome Dinner, Brunch), click “Add an event” and fill out the event name, date, time, and location.

  3. Click “Edit” next to each event to customize how it appears and who’s invited.

  4. Click “Manage guests” to assign specific guests to specific events (perfect for keeping smaller gatherings private while collecting RSVPs for them).

Step 2: Simplify Your Zola Site to Show RSVP Only

Since you’ll be directing guests from your Squarespace site straight to Zola’s RSVP form, it’s best to remove extra pages from your Zola site to avoid confusion.

Here’s how to streamline your Zola site:

  1. From the dashboard, click “Edit Website.”

  2. You’ll see a list of all your site’s pages on the left-hand side.

  3. Click on each page you don’t need guests to access—like Schedule, Gallery, Travel, etc.—and toggle the eye icon to hide them from your published site.

  4. Leave only the RSVP page visible so that guests land on a clean, distraction-free page when they click through from your Squarespace site.

  5. Select and customize a Zola template that visually aligns with your Squarespace design. While Zola has limitations, choosing a minimalist layout and customizing your fonts and colors can help create a more seamless visual transition between platforms.

  6. Depending on the theme, you may also be able to hide the top navigation bar entirely under your style settings for a cleaner look.

✴︎ Important: If you’re using Zola to host your wedding registry, you’ll want to leave the Registry page visible so guests can still shop from your list.

Step 3: Copy Your Direct RSVP Link from Zola

Once your RSVP page is fully set up and simplified, it’s time to grab the direct link you’ll be using on your Squarespace site.

You have two options:

  1. From the Zola website editor:

    • At the top of your site preview, you’ll see your unique Zola URL (e.g., www.zola.com/wedding/yourname).

    • Click “Get a custom URL” if you’d like to personalize it further.

    • Copy the link directly from here—this is the URL that leads straight to your RSVP page.

  2. From your browser address bar:

    • You can also preview your Zola site as a guest would, navigate to the RSVP tab, and copy the full URL from your browser’s search bar.

    • This ensures you’re linking directly to the RSVP section with no extra clicks required for your guests.

Either option works—just make sure the final link lands directly on your RSVP form to keep things seamless and user-friendly.

Step 4: Add the Link to Your Squarespace Site

You can now embed the RSVP link into your Squarespace site, either as a navigation item or a button on a page.

Option 1: Add to Navigation

  1. In your Squarespace Pages panel, click the + under Main Navigation

  2. Choose “Link.”

  3. Name it something simple like RSVP.

  4. Paste in your Zola RSVP URL and Save.

Option 2: Add as a Button

  1. Go to the page where you want the RSVP to live (such as “Details” or “Schedule”).

  2. Click “Edit” and add a Button block.

  3. Label the button (e.g., “RSVP Now” or “Submit Your Reply”).

  4. Paste the Zola link in the Button URL field.

  5. Style the button to match your site, then click Save.

The Best of Both Worlds

Using Zola’s RSVP functionality alongside your custom Squarespace wedding website allows you to create a thoughtful, design-forward experience without sacrificing the backend tools that make planning easier. Platforms like Zola offer powerful features—like guest list tracking, RSVP management, and registry integration—that Squarespace doesn’t natively support.

By linking the two, you get the best of both worlds: a beautifully branded site that reflects your vision and a seamless system to manage the logistics behind the scenes. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference—for you and your guests.
